Murder Ride Skateboards is a local Dunedin, Florida company that sells sick boards and tee's.
We here at Gulf Coast currently have 3-riders sponsored by Murder Ride killing all the local spots.
a few weeks ago Charlie Crank founder of Murder Ride took the team to the local Sterling skate park here in Dunedin for a photo shoot session. You can see some great pictures of the park and what some of the local guys throw down during a session. (check out the pictures below)

Father & Sons That Ride For Gulf Coast Are Fast!
38yo Gaines Harrison is like a surfer when it comes to down hill speed and racing on a skateboard here in Florida. He has to hunt for hills and spots to skate just like a surfer looking for waves or even that perfect wave. But when you find that perfect spot its like magic happening! And this spot is secret!
you cant wait to go back and skate it again and what makes it all worth while is he does it with his 3 boys, 2 of witch are sponsored by Gulf Coast. Gaines also known as Papa Dread on "silverfishlongboarding.com" is one of the fastest guys in Florida on 4-wheels using gravity as his fuel.
With 3 sons you know they are not far behind. His oldest son also named Gaines has his tuck tight and the speed dialed in as he makes a practice run at the "Rock-star Energy drink" down hill race in Tallahassee, Floria a few months back. Here is a picture of him (below) on his run.
If you watch or follow the gravity games look for these guys names and check out the video's on the www.gulfcoastskateshop.com site where you can see footy of these guys bombing hills all over Florida and GA.Thought Florida was all flat? Think again!
The average day of skating in their home town of Brooksville, Florida are down hill runs well over 40mph with left and right hand turns. Some runs are over a mile long!

New York Skater Rides For Gulf Coast.
Gulf Coast is all about supporting skateboarding and talented skaters from all over we have even sponsored a skater from Germany in the past. We have stayed a driving force in the skateboarding scene in the Tampa bay area buy sponsoring tallented skaters and giving our customers what they demand, the very best in everything from products, customer service and advice!
We welcome 14yo Mikey Taylor from White Plains NY. This kid is destroying ledges, rails and stairs with no personal regard to the paint that's on them. His skate footage speaks for its self but this kid excels on the snow and bikes like you wouldn't believe. Truly talented in every sport he chooses its a "must see" to check out his footy on the web site. I talked to Mikey last night and hes is sending some fresh footy next week so don't miss it!

Custom Designed Team Model Decks
Gulf Coast is releasing its first team model deck designed by Miles McKinney. From a sketched idea on a piece of paper to the hands of our art department where the design is laid out in photo shop or illustrator. Here is what we had to work with.
Based on our conversations and incorporating some of our past designs we lay it all out in our design program and divide our art in to layers. we then import our PSD. "photo shop" design in to our CAD-cut program that runs our CAD vinyl cutter. we can then cut our stencils that will be used as a one time use for each deck. This is similar to screen printing but more labor intensive, but this process yields a different look than the cheaper screen printing ink or heat transfers. we use only the highest quality automotive grade enamels and finish them with a very hard and durable automotive clear coat for a finish like none other in the industry. its truly a piece of art worthy of hanging on your wall.
we offer the best shop decks in the area with definitely the highest quality finish in the industry!
for a limited time you can pick up our decks for $36.99 with free grip-tape and 2-for $50.00 with free grip-tape while supply last.

Check out articles filled with history and current events about stuff going on in the Tampa bay area as well as interviews and reviews that you wont find posted in other magazine. Now Cleo is taking it to the next level with his blog! Dam, Cleo what do you do every day write? A book, Weekly Mag. and now a blog. Do you have a lap top around your neck? lol...
I know here at GC we love the articles and reading about the local faces we see around town.

Locker Boards!
As skateboarding as a whole keeps growing at a rapid pace all types of boards are in demand.
"Locker boards" are getting more and more popular and in big demand. They are quick, handle great "like the cross between a longboard and a short board" but they are even smaller so they are really easy to carry and stash away. While the young skaters back in school flock to get that retro G&S or Alva boards, and Landyachtz offers "The Dinghy" a 26" x 7" board for a hundred and fifty bucks. Gulf Coast is on it with the release of their new board "The Pocket Locker" a 27.25" x 8" platform great for bigger adult riders with big feet looking for a small nimble board. this is really a small light weight platform made for an adult. It features a slightly pointed and turned up nose and a smooth mellow concave with a squared-out tail turned up. You can still easily pop to do flip tricks, Manual tricks, slides or what ever possesses you. The pocket locker official release date is September 1st and will be priced at 38.99 for decks with grip and just under a hundred bucks depending what components you prefer packages starting at 79.99.
Pictures and more info. about The Pocket Locker will be available on our web site.
Note: this is not the graphic that will be on the official decks for sale.
